There have been many times in my life that I inadvertently set the stage for my own failure. Whether it was by not eating food that would properly nourish me, or by associating with individuals who would hold me back or attempt to get me to conform to their “better” way of thinking. There are many ways in which we can inadvertently impede our own health and happiness. Fortunately, there are also ways to set the stage for your own health, happiness, and fulfillment.
Affirmations, like creative visualization, are a form of self-hypnosis that you can easily employ to create helpful changes in your body, mind, and spirit. As you focus on the affirmations you choose, you set intentions that have the ability to create life-transforming changes. Affirmations, self-hypnosis, guided meditation, and prayer are natural and promote miraculous healing and empowerment. They work through faith and through your own biochemistry via the mind/body connection. These simple processes, that can be performed anywhere, help to regulate blood pressure; to combat any cancer or virus; to lift emotional and physical pain; to prompt happiness, and in countless other applications.
You can write your own affirmations or select and use affirmations from books that you believe will suit your needs. It is wise to start an affirmation, visualization, or self-hypnosis session with the following safeguarding suggestions:
- During this session, my mind will only accept messages that totally serve my highest good and optimum health.
- Any messages I accept will go to work in the ideal way and time frame.
- If a message becomes outdated, it will dissipate and disappear from my mind.
- My healing and empowerment occurs in all dimensions of time and space: at a cellular level, a soul, level, and energetically.
- As I heal and evolve, I learn helpful lessons that the past served to teach me.
To get the best results from your affirmations or practice of self-hypnosis, it is recommended that you repeat your affirmations/self-hypnosis sessions almost daily for a month or more.
